What We Fund

Since its inception in 1993, Wilton Education Foundation has contributed more than $320,000 to the Wilton Public Schools for innovative programs in technology, science, arts and language arts. We have also mobilized hundreds of community volunteers to work on various school programs such as, “Read Aloud Day,” “Career Days” and “Job Shadow Days.”

In 2006…Wilton Education Founation sponsored a Wilton High School students' ethics program, taught by professionals from Deloitte & Touche. Thanks to many generous contributions, the Foundation contributed $20,000 for professional development for teachers and administrators that was completed during the summer of 2006 and contributed $15,000 to the advancement of science and technology within our school system.

In 2007…Wilton Education Foundation’s goal is to raise $100,000.

Dr. Gary Richards, Superintendent of Schools has stated,

“The Wilton Education Foundation provides important private resources that will keep Wilton schools at the forefront of public education. I intend to look to the Foundation to help our schools develop innovative and cutting-edge programs that will further improve the quality of the education our children receive.”
